CLOSURE OF THE ALBANY SEASIDE FLATS - 31st JULY 2021
Sadly, after more than 80 years of service to the Community, the CWA of WA Board have decided to close the Flats and divest the land. Bookings ceased as of 31st July 2021. Sincere apologies to those affected, and a heartfelt Thankyou to our many supporters, particularly over the last few years.

Albany is in the Great Southern region, about 420 km south-east of Perth. Its mild Mediterranean climate makes it the perfect place to visit all year, and to escape the excessive summer heat and winter chill of the WA climate.
The CWA Seaside Flats (ph 08 9841 1591 mob 0451 686 003) are an important, long-standing State Project of the Country Women’s Association of Western Australia - CWA of WA.
The units adjoin Albany Golf Course, where you are welcome to hire clubs - and, as you can see below, you can usually find someone to give you a game! The grounds around the units are home to many native birds, and wildlife such as bandicoots and skinks.
Albany region has a fantastic coastline, with beautiful, secluded beaches for swimming, snorkeling and fishing, safe areas for children, and some excellent surfing beaches.
From June through October, you can watch the whales shelter in King George Sound - from the beach near the units, from the cliff drive into town, or on a Whale Watching Tour.
Other tours of the coast, the Kalgan River, Albany townsite, and wildlife spotting tours, operate for most of the year. And there are plenty of local restaurants, large shopping complexes with most major stores, and many smaller local shops located along the main streets.
